The CORE Framework

Four temperaments. One shared language.

CORE maps the four communication temperaments found on every team: Comfort, Optimism, Resolution, and Exactness. Everyone leads with one and carries a second — and once a team can name them, they can finally hear each other.
C

Comfort

Steady · Warm · Attuned

Comfort communicators are the steady heartbeat of a team. They read the room, notice who’s struggling, and build the psychological safety that makes honest conversation possible. Under pressure they protect harmony — sometimes at the cost of saying the hard thing.

Optimism

Energetic · Adaptable · People-first

Optimism communicators bring the spark. They rally people around ideas, adapt fast when plans change, and keep morale up when the work gets heavy. Their energy is contagious — though details and follow-through can feel like a drag on momentum.
R

Resolution

Fast-moving · Decisive · Direct

Resolution communicators drive to the point. They are allergic to being stuck, cut through ambiguity, and make the calls others avoid. Teams move faster with them in the room — even if their directness can land harder than they intend.

Exactness

Thorough · Careful · High-standard

Exactness communicators hold the bar. They catch the detail everyone else missed, think three steps ahead, and refuse to ship sloppy work. Their questions can feel like friction — right up until they save the project.
